
Nathan Kistler is a baritone with a wide range in terms of both vocal color and acting ability. Mr. Kistler is lauded for his comedic timing and commanding stage presence and is comfortable singing as both a soloist or in a small chamber ensemble. Recently Nathan has finished a run of [title of show] as Jeff with Art4, an exciting new chamber music and theater company in South Bend. Previous credits include Papageno in Die Zauberflöte with OperaND, Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro with CMU Opera, and Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with CMU MainStage.
Upcoming roles include Guglielmo in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte with the South Bend Lyric Opera and Aeneas in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the Atlantic Music Festival.
Nathan is currently finishing a Masters degree in Sacred Music from the University of Notre Dame with a concentration in Vocal Performance under the direction of Dr. Stephen Lancaster. Mr. Kistler also hold’s a Bachelors of Arts in Vocal Performance from Central Michigan University where he studied under Dr. Oliver Henderson, Tracy Watson, and the late Dr. Nina Nash-Robertson.
