A Michigan native, Mary regularly performed with Detroit company Opera MODO in 2017, including the roles of Nannetta (Falstaff), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni). Additionally, she frequently sings as a community outreach performer with Michigan Opera Theater. She received BM and MM degrees from the University of Michigan, where she studied with Melody Racine. University credits include: Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Nannetta (Falstaff), Amy (Little Women), the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), and Fire (L’Enfant et les Sortilèges). With Brevard Music Center: Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance), First Spirit (Die Zauberflöte), Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann). She has also sung with Central City Opera, the Midland Symphony Orchestra, Michigan Opera Theater, Main Street Opera Theatre, the Livingston Symphony Orchestra, the Michigan Pops, the Saginaw Choral Society, New York Opera Exchange, Victor Herbert Society, and the Community Chorus of Detroit. Her proudest credit is “The Star-Spangled Banner” for President Obama and a crowd of approximately 85,000 for the University of Michigan Commencement.
