Victoria Schemenauer

Victoria Schemenauer, soprano, has recently completed a Master of Music in Voice at the IU Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Julia Bentley. Appearances with IU Opera and Ballet Theater include Erste Knabe (Die Zauberflote) and chorus roles in Falstaff and La Rondine. Originally from Elkhart, Indiana, Victoria completed her undergraduate degree in performance at IU South Bend where she sang regularly with the South Bend Symphony Choir. She is passionate about arts-based community outreach, and is currently involved with Reimagining Opera for Kids, a non-profit community arts and education organization based in Bloomington, Indiana, where she has recently performed the role of The Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute) for local elementary schools. She is excited to return to the South Bend Lyric Opera for the premier of The Gift. Past roles with the company include Gretel (Hansel und Gretel), Paggio (Rigoletto) and ensemble in Lucia di Lammermoor.
