Damen Mroczek

Scenic Designer

Damen completed his master’s degree in Scenic Design through Indiana University Bloomington’s Opera Department, where he also served as Prop Master. After leaving IU he took the position of Scenic Designer/lecturer at Oberlin College where he taught scenic design courses and designed productions for the theatre, opera and dance departments for many years. His other professional credits include designing the original operas, Korczac’s Orphans and Feynman for Real Time Opera that premiered around the United States including New York City. Internationally, he was on the design team for multiple productions at Dorset Opera in England, one of which, Gomes’ Salvatore Rosa was premiered in London.
