Jeremiah Marcéle Sanders
Charlie - Baritone
Jeremiah Sanders, baritone, and maintains an active schedule as a performer, educator, and conductor. A Metropolitan Opera National Council District winner, Sanders has also found success as 1st place winner of the Opera Ebony Benjamin Mathews Vocal Competition, Lima Symphony Orchestra's Friends of the Symphony Young Artist Competition, 2nd place winner in the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale Competition for Musicians, and has been recognized as a finalist in the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Diversity Competition, National Arts and Letters Vocal Competition, and the Opera Mississippi John Alexander Vocal Competition.
As a young artist, Sanders has performed with the San Miguel Institute of Bel Canto in
Guanajuato, Mexico, Martina Arroyo's Prelude to Performance in New York City, International Opera Performing Experience in Mercatello sul Metauro, Italy, and Opera Saratoga in Saratoga Springs, New York. Recently, Sanders has performed as Falstaff in IU Jacobs School of Music's production of Falstaff and the Four Villains in Union Avenue Opera's Tales of Hoffmann. Previous roles include the Father in Hansel and Gretel, The Preacher/Street Singer in Berstein's Mass, Gianni Schicchi in Gianni Schicchi and Giorgio Germont in LaTraviata. Sanders currently studies under the tutelage of Jane Dutton.
