He made his operatic debut in Monterrey, Mexico in 1985 singing Colás in Mozart’s early opera Bastien und Bastiene. His performances include roles ranging from Belcore and Dulcamara in Donizetti’s L'Elisir Amore, Escamillo in Carmen by Bizet, Marcello and Shaunard in Puccini’s La Boheme. David at L'Amico Fritz by Mascagni, Figaro at Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini, Mercutio at Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette, among others. He worked in leading roles with internationally renowned music directors, including Vladimir Kiriadjiev, Jeff Eckstein, Paul Nadler, Guido Maria Guida, Doris Lang Kosloff, Beverly Coulter, among others. He also worked with the world-renowned stage director, Yoshi Oida in the Winterreisse staging of Franz Schubert. He has collaborated with the following Companies, Festivals and Seasons: Miami Lyric Opera, National Ballet of Mexico, Zarzuela de Monterrey Season, Tamaulipas Cultural Festival and the Opera Company of Nuevo León, among others; He has also performed several concerts in Mexico and the USA. as a baritone soloist. He has participated in several Zarzuela with the following roles: Vidal (Luisa of Moreno Torrba), Juan (Los Gavilanes by J. Guerrero), Don Diego (Don Gil de Alcalá of Manuel Penella) and Joaquín (The Bunch of Roses by P. Sorozábal). His experience in oratorio and cantatas includes: Baritone of Carmina Burana, of the Creation of Hayden and of the Messiah of Handel. His academic preparation was carried out with private teachers including Oscar Garza and Franco Iglesias, among others, also was part of the SIVAM program, where he obtained the Plácido Domingo scholarship in the years 1998 and 1999, from which his debut in the Palacio de Bellas Artes singing Carmina Burana with the National Dance Ballet. In the last years he has played the roles of Sharpless in Madama Buttterfly with the Opera of San Miguel de Allende; and in Miami Lyric Opera with Marcello’s la Boheme, as well as Figaro from Il Barbiere di Siviglia, in 2016, and I collaborated in Mma. Butterfly with the role of Sharpless and in Werther as Albert in 2017, in 2018 he returned to Figaro from the Barbiere di Siviglia, Escamillo in Carmen and Marcello with MLO, and in 2019 he sang Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor.
